It is our great pleasure to invite you to CREST-TRA-ASPIRE International Symposium on "Cutting-Edge Chemistry of π-Molecular Functionality”, which will be held on November 14, 2026, at Nagoya University, Japan. This symposium is organized with the generous support of CREST (JST), ASPIRE (JST), and the Grant-in Aid for Transformative Research Areas (B), “Ladder Polymer Science” (MEXT, Japan) as well as IRCCS, Nagoya University.
This one-day international symposium is conceived as a “Swager Alumni Symposium,” bringing together members of Professor Timothy M. Swager’s academic family across Asia, including former students, postdoctoral fellows, collaborators, and friends. Building on this shared academic heritage, the symposium aims to foster scientific exchange, strengthen regional collaborations, and create new opportunities for the next generation of researchers. The scientific program will showcase recent advances in π-molecular functionality, spanning the design, synthesis, fundamental understanding, and emerging applications of functional π-electron materials. Through presentations and discussions by leading researchers, we hope to stimulate new ideas, encourage interdisciplinary collaborations, and promote closer connections within the rapidly expanding research community in Asia.
